An acclaimed director Zaza Khalvashi has passed away at the age of 62. His film Namme was world premiered at the 30th Tokyo International Film Festival in 2017 at the Competition section.
 
Zaza Khalvashi visited Japan during the festival and participated in many events including Red Carpet and Q&A sessions, and fans were very grateful that he openly interacted with them after the screening.
